Simulated Process
Simulated full-color process differs from 4-color process (CMYK) in that the inks are solid opaque colors (spot colors) usually printed on dark colored shirts. This process uses 6-9 colors/screens (including highlight white) to make prints more vibrant and realistic.

4 –color process uses the basic CMYK colors and is used for those designs that are made of more colors than possible to print on standard machines. This process is similar to how newspapers are printed. Being that this process uses only 4 colors/screens, colors tend to be more dull than simulated full-color process. However, 4-color process is a great option for printing designs such as event sponsor logos that differ drastically in color from logo to logo.

One option for a vintage look is reduced plastisol ink. This works great for white prints as its less thick than water base white. A reducer is added into a plastisol ink, basically watering it down to have a softer hand.

Discharge is the process of removing the dyed pigment in a garment's fabric, leaving the fabrics natural color behind (a look similar to bleach), and replacing it with a small amount of white pigment. Discharging works best on fabric that is 100% cotton or have been treated for discharge.

Discharge is the process of removing the dyed pigment in a garment's fabric, leaving the fabrics natural color behind (a look similar to bleach). Color pigments can also be added to make colored discharge. Discharging works best on fabric that is 100% cotton or have been treated for discharge.

Water-based printing is a great option for creating a soft hand, distressed and vintage looks. Water-based inks are thinner and work best when printed on light garments or on a dark garment that has been discharged. After washing, the inks have a nearly absent feel to the touch. Another option for a vintage look is reduced plastisol ink. This works great for white prints as its less thick than water base white.

Foil printing is a method where a thin mylar material is applied with heat over adhesive. The finished product is a high shine, smooth print. We offer many colors of foil, please contact us for options.
